A Native American woman pleads with a line of shouting police officers to cross the street and join the dozens of protestors detained there. Most of the detainees were charged with felonies and became collectively known as the J20 Defendants. All 214 faced decades in prison under the Felony Riot Statute. 129 had their charges dropped, and 59 defendants remain as of a year later.
